Just when I think doing an Ironman alone is impossible, talk about doing an Ironman carrying the weight of another person. Dick Hoyt ran the races with his son because his son, Rick, said he didn't feel handicapped when running. Team Hoyt blew my mind. As of 23 Apr 2014, they have completed 1108 races since 1977, including 6 Ironmans and 7 Half-Ironmans. Oh, and Dick was already 36 years old in 1977.
What can push a human way beyond his ability? His love for his child.
