And this other funny Youtube video based on the flavour of Chinese language that they speak back at his hometown, Maur in Malaysia:
I admire:
His creativity
He wrote all the songs and directed the videos himself. He had written his first 400 songs while in secondary school. I don't think he is stopping. He continues to experiment with different styles, themes.
His guts to express openly
Not fearing the conservative authorities. In fact, he was detained after he returned to his country. He met with huge challenges when apprising the local censorship authority so that his movie can be screened.
His perseverance
He kept on writing songs, producing movies despite his clash with local authorities. I witness his relentless pursuit for this love over the years. He kept on refining his craft. He created his own talk shows, directed his own movies, directed more music videos, kept on writing new songs and playing with music. There were hits and misses. His works garnered more and more Youtube views. I think he has even staged his first concert in Hong Kong.
Some of his other songs that I like and that show his ingenuity:
He cleverly infused Thai language and accent into the lyrics and MTV plot is comical.
In this song, he played with the Cantonese. The female cast hosts adult talk shows in Hong Kong and has a damn sweet and sexy look (and voice too if you look for her interview with Namewee).
He wrote a piece for Jackie Chan to celebrate his 60th birthday and playfully used many of Jackie Chan's movie names for the lyrics.
One of the more serious songs he written for his movie.
He wrote this song for Joyce Chu and this MTV went viral and garner more than 10 million views! Not difficult to tell why. Sweet looks, Cute song.
