Being an MP is hard. You work super overtime and don't get compensated as well as you can if you were in the private sector.
You have to be able to present yourself well both at parliament level (to Ministers and other well-learned) as well as grassroots level (to the aunties and uncles in the market). You have to fight for the good of the people in your ward and try not to step on the toes of others too much. Hey, they are the ones who appraise you.

What drives the MPs? I think the motivation behind is perhaps so noble that most of us commoners can't fathom.
Their industry is something we can see and can learn from.
