I learnt about sincerity today.
My wife and I tend to agree that as we get more educated, the less sincere we will be. It gets worse as one gets out and works in the corporate world. We learn about back stabbing and office politics. Almost everyone is putting on a mask, trying to get into the good books of the superiors, trying to not offend people and not being able to say how we feel about things truly. This is what is called professionalism in a nutshell. Even when one is sincere in getting the work done, he has got to put up a false front to ward off challenges and adversities. As time goes by, nobody behaves sincerely anymore. In fact, when someone gets too close to me, I would think that he has got something up his sleeves.
Thanks to this person who knocked my car today. You reminded me of sincerity.
