Watched Daniel Pink talked about the new science of motivation again after having watched his TED talk video. Picked up something new today. He said that given that the people are paid enough such that money is removed from the equation, then Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose come into play.
Wonder how would it be like to work amongst the best brains at Atlassian or Google and given all that Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose. Hey, but I guess they only take in the best brains and I have got some catching up to do. Haha.
The company I am working for is far off. We have Instructions, Deadlines and the CEO. It is pretty much still very authoritarian and we live to serve the CEO. He makes pretty much all the decisions and everyone around just wants to please him. To the extent I feel that we work for him and not for the company. Haha.
